Stupidity might have gotten me hydro locked
Alright, it's been raining here the few last days and there're puddles of water on the right side of the road.
I had to make a turn a bit further down the street and there was a puddle. It didn't look too big or deep.. so I went through it, because I couldn't go to the other lane.
The puddle had more water in it then I thought.
Right after I got out of the puddle the engine died. I tried to start it, no luck.
Now in panic mode after a few tried of starting the car I might have shifted the car into parking without stopping it all the way... so I might have blown my tranmission too now..
Now it's been about ~5-6 hours and the car still doesn't start. It's only making rapid clicking noises when I try to start it.
Not sure what's wrong with it, I'll be towing it to the mechanic as soon as I can.

clicking noises when trying to start are usualy low battery voltage. have you taken out the spark plugs and tried cranking the engine to get whatever water is in the cylinders out and then reinstalling the plug s and trying to start it?
Battery is ok. My friend recharged the battery.
Nope, I haven't done that yet.
I got out of work not too long ago, and my car is at my friends house.
There might be water in the cylinders, but I hope not. I'm hoping I didn't snap anything.
The inner fender broke and I have a CAI.
So, it didn't have to be a foot of water to send my car hydro locking....

+1 ^
pull the plugs. Dry off the distributor cap if it got wet (in and out). Dry off the filter for the CAI and turn the engine over a couple times. dry and reinstall plugs. Let us know.
Let's hope you didn't bend the valves...
...now the auto tranny is OK, it makes that ratcheting sound because the park mechanism was slipping. I've done that a few times, while it doesn't break tranny it does wear down the Park mechanism, so use your e-brake when parking on hills or you will get a rolling surprise 3 minutes lster...
...always remember after going through lots of water and the car stalls with a CAI DON'T START IT RIGHT OFF, but pull out the plugs and squirt out the water.

Really appreciate the help guys.
Thanks!!
I'll go check the car later on today. It's still at my friends place. Everyone is working so so no one has time at the moment, but I need to get my car running again. It's my daily driver
I never got hydro locked before.. so I freaked out and didn't know what to do.
Thanks!!

No luck guys.
It's still making that noise everytime I start it.
I don't think the car is cranking at all. Could it be that my starter has gone bad?
Or maybe my injector is flooded? I could still feel some water in the intake
I took off the spark plugs, they're dry. I took the valve cover off.. didn't really see anything bend or broken.. but it could be somewhere else?

It makes that noise because there is not enough power for the starter to engage, so what you hear is the solenoid rapidly engaging and disengaging as it loses power then regains it...
...try a jump start, that should get it started...

my engine is beyond fixing.
So I need to go get another engine.
Since B series are still expensive (to me) I don't think I'm going to swap a B in.
That sucks. With that money I could've gone turbo
Well, maybe what less because I was told that it might cost around 1000 bucks including labor and the engine...
but we'll see.
I do need to make sure it's a z6 at least

Well, what the devil is wrong with your engine? If it is more than a dead battery I would sure like to hear this one...
If you really want to swap an engine, how about the JDM D15B VTEC?
