Default Thermal wrap on intake

After my car warms up, myCAI gets reallyhot, which probably defeats the purpose of having a CAI... I was thinking that wraping it in that thermal stuff would keep the heat off the pipe, therefore running cooler, longer? Correct me if in wrong.

Oh and how much does thermal wrap run for?

yeah, it'd work...

Personally, I plan on eventually getting engine enamel, painting my intake tube (which would also aid in keeping the air slightly colder) , thenusing exhaust wrap, and sealing the wrap.

yeah, definitely.. I plan on using some black wrap... the natural tan-ish wrap would just kinda look weird under the hood.

Yea its not that cheap, but think about it. Im trying to get to the point where I can just keep my engine as cold as it can get...and adding cheap add-ons such as these blankets will help. Im gettin my CAI and aftermarket Heatshield put on ASAP, and plus the blankets...i mean the engine should be running smoothly...Im going to do it [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
