Default Throttle Body

Assuming a person has a CAI, an electronic fuel pump, and everything else stock on a car, what kind of negative side effects am I looking at with upgrading to a +15mm throttle body?

well if you're thinking of getting a new tb then i suggest to go with an intake manifold to match.

The TB wont do a ton of good without other mods (like above mentioned IM), plus fitment could be a problem without a different IM.

+15mm? That sounds pretty big. This going on your motor? That woudl make it what? 75mm? I would think that if there were any negatives, you may lose some throttle reponse, but I havent' read that much about intake charge velocities.

Believe it or not, I actually have one just laying around =P I just double checked, its 70mm not 75, so its only +10mm.

I Just wanted to double check, I've never really done much homework on throttle bodies. I also found out it wont hook up to the stock intake manifold, so I spent all day nosing around under the hood contemplating whether I should put the venom intake manifold back on or not. Thats when I noticed that hot air and bits of oil were shooting out of the oil cap when I took it off. Methinks thats not good. I'll probably be holding off any driving till I figure this out, hence my decline to go to the event this weekend =(

Probably a blocked pcv valve =(
