torque wrench?
you will want a torque wrench, you can find one for 20-30 bucks, or borrow one.
Haynes says:
Haynes says:
torque specs:
exhaust manifold to cylinder head nuts: 23 ft-lbs
exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold nuts (D16Y8): 40 ft-lbs

ya mxs, $20 for a torque wrench is sweet. me and a friend are thinkin about spliting the cost and sharing one.
unless ur talkin about these: what do u guys think about these, do they work well?

Those things are so ghetto. My buddy let me borrow one to install my intake manifold and they dont fit in the damn engine bay. Im just going to suck it up and get a nice craftsman one.......75$ for a wrench is tough though.......but im tired of breaking stuff.
The most important thing when installing the header is to tighten it from the center out, then go back and double check each one. A torque wrench is not necessary unless you're prone to overtightening things.
