Default torque wrench?

I should be ordering my header in less than two weeks. Do you have to use a torque wrench to install or can I just rachet it down. If I have to then does anyone know the specs.

you will want a torque wrench, you can find one for 20-30 bucks, or borrow one.

Haynes says:
torque specs:
exhaust manifold to cylinder head nuts: 23 ft-lbs
exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold nuts (D16Y8): 40 ft-lbs

Those things are so ghetto. My buddy let me borrow one to install my intake manifold and they dont fit in the damn engine bay. Im just going to suck it up and get a nice craftsman one.......75$ for a wrench is tough though.......but im tired of breaking stuff.

The most important thing when installing the header is to tighten it from the center out, then go back and double check each one. A torque wrench is not necessary unless you're prone to overtightening things.
