Anyone ever got a used header? I'm thinking of buying a used DC sports header for cheap. Anyone have an opion on a used header? It does have a bit of rust on it. But every header will rust enelss you wash it every day..

 

getting a used header is perfectly fine. if it's dented in a few spots, it'll still be fine. rust doesn't effect performance unless it's really rusted where the bolts are and the gasket won't be tight...

also, car parts rust -- get over it

Yeah, it should be fine, if you get some pics we can then say, "oh, yeah it's rusty, looks nice." lol. Also, what do you call cheap?

where are you guys finding these used headers? Ebay? I can't seem to findmany over on Ebay...

 

Ebay is your best bet for used stuff, although the Classified heres on HCF have alot of godo things sometime. And DC is reputable brand, if its really not rusted through or to where it wont fit properly, id say go for it! pics would help too

 

what's the exact difference between 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers

 

4-2-1 gives mid-range power and 4-1 gives top-end (i believe)

 

4-2-1 is easier to install...supposedly.
