Hi,

I was searching on the internet for a v2 aem CAI intake for my civic si 98 but I could not find the good one...I saw 99 and up but no 98.. Can someone tell me which model I have to buy. Also will I have to remove it for winter? I live in montreal so there is alot of snow.

Welcome to the forum...

Anyway, the 99-up intake should fit, provided it's for a D16. And you shouldn't need to take it off for the winter; you'll be fine with it on. I'd normally go into more detail, but I got a concussion a couple hours ago, and my head is absolutely pounding...

I don't think so... the Si's have a different engine than the rest of the civics. 96-00 civics have d-series engines. 99-00 Civic Si's have B-series engines. I don't think it'll fit since it's for a different series engine. I'd say just get a normal cold-air intake and rock that.

ahh, you live in canada. your Si is the same as the american EX.... you should be looking for a 96-00 EX intake

the american Si intake will not fit your car properly [8D]

yea i imagine you are in Canada, i think dont think 98 SI's exist in the US. So that means you have a US 99 EX, which you give you a D16y8. I know they make intakes for that engine, look on a USDM website for an intake for a 99 EX and you should be all set. Expect to pay an arm n a leg for the V2 though

As MXS (and flip repeated, thanks mr. repetition)

Canadian Si = USDM EX

no, the part number you need is AEM-24-6014C, 1996-2000 Civic EX M/T only (will not fit on a A/T car)
