do the AEM V2 for a civic lx 05 only come in a SRI? if so, isn't this bad?

For the 7th gens it only comes in short ram, why would it be a bad thing?

because sri suck air from the engine bay which is warm... whereas a intake in the wheel well would bring cooler air. but then again, AEM probably had extensive R&D huh?
