DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THE JAP IMORT 1.6 SOHC IS THE AS A UK SPEC?????

REASON BEING IS I AM A TIGHT FISTED BASTARD AND I SEEN A
POWERFLOW S/STEEL SYSTEM IN THE TRADE-IT FOR £60.

I AINT GONNA BUY IT IF IT AINT GONNA FIT.

I'M STILL GETTING USED TO JAP CARS
DONT REALLY KNOW TO MUCH

JUST LOOK AT THE SIGNATURE TO SEE WOTS HAPPENED NOW!!!!!!

 

The jap import 1.6 SOHC will be the same a the UK ESi not the VTi.
The bore is different, on an ESi the bore is 2' and a VTi its 2.5'

So i dont think that system will fit on a VTi, unless you get a sleeve specially made from 2.5 down to 2' but i think that will probably decrease your performance..

 

now im not disagreeing with you but it says vti on the v5 log book

every net add. with vehicle registration links say vti

and the sticker on the back says vti

so as far im concerned it is a vti

but because im new to the jap scene im still not sure, and ive hundreds of
different people say different things, so i havent got a clue anymore!!!!!!!!!!

open to suggestions tho!!!!!

Your saying the jap import is 1.6 SOHC which i thought was the 'Si' ??
The uk VTi is a 1.6 DOHC 160bhp
i know this because i have a UK VTi, and got my exhaust done, and because its a DOHC i needed thicker tubing '2.5'

im only saying this from personal experience's with my VTi........BUT i could be wrong??
