Cai goes from the throttle body down into the fender.....a short ram sits around where the air box originally was and a v2 is the same as a cai but it is thicker....a great recomendation for a b series engine is a jays racing short ram...you can find it on robearracing.com

Click AEM Power and read AEM's explanation of them.

The V2 is a patent pending technology developed by AEM. It's a dual piped design that uses the resonating frequencies of the intake charge at different rpm's to maximize air velocity.

The short ram is just a more efficient design than your stock airbox because it has smooth innner walls, only one bend in the pipe and should have a better, more free flowing air filter.

A CAI is positioned outside of the engine bay where temperatures are high in an attempt to draw cooler air into your intake. For every 10 degrees F you can cool your intake charge you will get ~ 1% more horsepower. Temps in the engine bay can be 50-100 degrees higher than ambient temp, which could translate into 5-10% more Hp out of a CAI over a SRI.

...or I could have just made all of that up to sound like I know what I am talking about. You decide.
