what exhaust???
I was looking to buy an exhaust system for my 1996 Civic Ex. I dont want to spend anymore than $600 on it. I really would like a deeper sounding exhaust because I just have a muffler on there now and it doesn't really sound that good.
i dunno how much all exaust are,but here are a few if u want to look them up...Apexi...HKS..Greddy...Skunk2... i mean thats if u wanna look at them....Apexi N1 isnt that bad,its the one im gettin for my 96 hatch!
600 bucks! damn dude u can get a nice header and cat-back for that much. if u want a nice deep tone get evo2 or if u wanna go a lil cheaper but still a nice sound go megan racing. theres ALOT more options that im sure others will illaborate on but that just my 2 favorite. a nice cheap header would be megan racing again...they seem to be a nice "bang for buck" company.
yeah I already have megan racing header, so do you think I should just go with megan racing for the rest of the exhaust?
Yeah after looking at some exhaust I realized that I could get pretty much anything for $600, so I think I am going to go a little lower on the price range. Nothing over $500.

You can get the Evo2 for around 470, I've seen people link them on these boards for under 500, it seems to be the talk of the town as far as exhaust systems go. Theres also video and sound clips of how they sound. If you check out the sticky up top you can hear it for yourself.
Good Advice:
Whatever your choice for header/exhaust may be.. the tone your car produces will, for the most part, come from the tubing.. if you dont upsize your tubing.. it's pointless.. I would suggest with the EX V-tech system to go 2.25' or 2.5' tubing with smooth curves.. not crinkles. DONT BUY PRE SHAPED TUBING... wherever you get your exhaust installed.. let them custom bend your tubing to fit your car..

You can get all three for about 400-500 if you just shop around on online stores. Those are 4 just off the top of my head there is also megan and magnaflow. Look around clips on youtube etc untill you find one that you think sounds decent
I'd go HkS hi-power, thats what i have on my civic si and i love it. Really deep and even at redline doesnt ever get high pitched or raspy. If ur gonna spend that much money, get the best, thats what i did, trust me its worth it
