k just extended the wires for the O2 sensor so it could reach the hole on the downpipe of the header so everythin is plugged in and my check engine light is still freaking on why? I have the megan header on and just put on the drift spec exhaust but there is no cat right now (goin in tomorrow to get the magnaflow high flow cat welded in) so the exhaust is comin straight out of the header right now but should that matter for the sensors because they are before the cat...

 

try resetting the ecu, dont know if it will solve problem, but it couldnt hurt

 

I did the exact same install on the exact same year. I disconnected and reconnected my battery and had no problems so you might want to try that.

 

ok how do i do that? and im gettin an ex ecu in a couple weeks when the supercharger goes on will that make a difference cause the car is an hx but the header and exhaust are for the ex

 

An EX ecu wont do anything for your car because its got "Ex" bolt ons.

don't put an ex ecu on an hx unless you swap to an ex engine head.
