what if i add just a muffler?@?@!
If i was to buy a greddy muffler or some other decent muffler then added it to my car without the whoel catback system...will it still sound okay? I dont really care about gaining any horsepower cause im just going for a good sound and a good look...any advice would be great

you know what sounds the best? just screw the cat and the exhaust and then modify your header, drill a hole in the hood, and mount the header upside down, just sticking right out the top of the hood. that sounds great...and i hear its even better for the environment than having a stock exhaust, random tech. cat and lean your feul/air ratio down as low as is safe.
im just kidding if you didnt pick up on that

hhaha, just playin man, I will do that someday tho.
....Languagemaster. I hope you dont take these comments to personally, or seriously for that matter. The idea we're trying to get you to see is that a muffler is non-functional, and 9 times outta 10, its going to sound really bad. (like an angry bee in a coffee can..) I'd go with the catback if I were you. Mine was only $307 shipped to my door. PM me if you need any other info

i bought a used n1 style (it is a smaller one 3 inch tip) and had a custom 2.25 inch exhaust welded in from my cat. it is loud but sounds real good, even better now that i have vtec. it is certainly a lot better than 500 dollar cat back
