what makes my car chug?
When i come down from high RPMs (engine is slowin down), sometimes my exhaust will chug. It sometimes does it while i'm at idle, but very rarely. Last time this happened, i brought it into a shop for a "tune up" and they replaced the plugs and wires and that corrected it. Is that what is making my car chug? If not, what is?
dude that should be it. is it a misfiring chug? my celica used to chug. and I just got my megan exhaust installed on my honda. I think I heard some chugging myself....let me post a thinger.
is it normal? i just replaced the plugs/wires about a year ago, should they be chugging by now? My dad says he hasnt replace his plugs in his truckfor a few years now. Is he the one thats messing up, or are my plugs/wires wearing out faster than normal?
they recomend that you replace the plugs at LEAST once a year, preferrably every 6 months, so i woud relace them just in case. I have a gut feeling it has something to do with fuel but not 100% sure as to what could be doing it
i just thought as well, if your idle air conttrol valve is sticking it may cause your car to chug when you let off the gas if it sticks open. but i would do the plugs first anyway cause it would be cheeper to replace
