I have the Apexi N1 unit and its loud as hell, epecially now its been run about a year. Its deep tho and not super raspy, and thats how i personally classify rice sound...a hi pitched glass pack sound is total rice. Something with a deeper resonation, but not overpowering would be perfect.

I agree that the Apex-i N1 is a loud a$$ pipe. Apex-i has been know to have loud pipes but if you want somthing that is a bit less loud the GReedy EVO2 does not seem as loud as the Apex-i N-1 (but that is jus my take on it)

any muffler or exhaust system that makes it sound like ****. **** being an emulation of a weedeater sound, or just being excessively loud general. I had hate for fart cans, until i had ridden in a car so equipped, and then the hate was ampliphied. You always heard his muffler, always, and then, under acceleration, it got worse. I would make sure any exhaust you order has sound samples on the website, and a universal muffler will universally be a mistake.

dude, stay with your stock system now and save up for a good quality system like a greddy or Skunk2, you will be glad you did. like it has been said before, you get what you pay for. they are not that price just cause they sound/look good its cause the company's have done allot of R&D into them and they work good too. I have a skunk2 catback and love it not a poppy "angry bee in a tin can" sound but a nice deep tone.

i have a great axleback from netami. it has a twin loop design resulting in a quieter, tighter, deeper tone. here's a sound clip of mine: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FtYpM1VirKM
