What is a ricer/fart can?

RE: What is a ricer/fart can?
It's an exhaust that doesn't improve the performance(may actually knick it some) but makes your car sound like ****. If you're sixteen years old and want to **** off your neighbors, it's terrific. If you're serious about motoring, or sane, it's not for you.

just because you have a full cat back evo exhaust doesn't mean that everything else is rice, and everything else sounds like crap. some setups do sound terrible if they're not done right. i have just a muffler welded on from a shop and it sounds just as good if not better than my friends catbacks and axlebacks. mine has a deep tone and you should only get a raspy tone if the muffler was installed incorrectly. but for the sound, catbacks probably are the way to go, but for the money, who wants to spend around $500 on a full system that only gains a few hp and a little sound? .........just my opinion.

I'm not trying to say that full catback is the way to go. I have a friend with 2.25 inch mandrel bent piping, a resanonator, and a ws2 muffler he put together himself and it sounds amazing, for cheaper than mine cost. I'm just trying to say that a cheap-o muffler with a straight pipe welded on will usually sound miserable. Now if this is a nice muffler, and it is done correctly it may sound great, but the way he stated it made it sound as if a straight pipe and any cheap muffler is the answer...
