whats the difference??

RE: whats the difference??
sri (short ram intake) : They are short, the filter normally stops right where your old air box used to be.
cai (cold air intake): They are longer, the filter normally got closer to the ground taking in air that is away from the engine. This is to get colder air than what is in the engine bay buy getting it further from the engine. The danger with these is that if you hit a HUGE puddle (lake) and the filter gets full of water you can potentially f up your engine with all of that water. These also normally get better performance than a sri.

RE: whats the difference??
SRI = throttle response
CAI = top end gains
also, the only way to hydrolock your engine (thats what danomatic was tlaking about) is to completely submerge the filter. And an air bypass valve helps out with moist normal moisture getting from rain and whatnot
I've heard CAI's also have a deeper rumble, but i cant say wether or not its true.
