Default Will I pass Inspections

i live in SLC, UT and i just purchased a 97 ex everything seams sound but in the exhaust from the axle back is missing just wondering if that will make my car not pass emmisions. the car is not throwing any codes or anything so im not sure.... and if it wont does anyone know where to get this part? i cant seam to find one....thanks for any help

I don't know for sure but I doubt you can pass inspection anywhere without having a muffler.

no muffler = bad. I'm pretty sure it will be a ticket too because your exhaust db will be too high

your not going to pass, look at it this way, if it came on the car stock, then its needed in some way, shape and form... i know in pa u have to but hell, your out in the desert so you never know, i would ask a cool local cop

ya thats what i was thinking but it looks like there is a muffler behind the cat... but then again im mechanicaly retarded so i could be wrong ha ha what is the round looking thing after the cat?

The round thing you are referring to is most likely a resonator. It is there to quiet the exhaust down a little.

hey, i got a friend who has a r6 and his right peg is broken. it is missing about half of the peg. will this pass inspection for a track day?

I kind of doubt it, but it depends on how lenient they are at that track.

all tracks have different rules, some are more easy going then others, its best to have it up to standards though just so you arent limited to certain tracks.
