Default Would this be a good starting cold air intake?

I have a 99 civic dx and am just starting. Would this http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/pe...brandid=1750be good to start? and are they hard to install?

link didnt work for me but all intakes arent hard to install at all. you may run into a little bit of trouble removing the old stuff but its pretty much straight foward

v2 system is better for cost if your going CAI in my opinion.. also depending where u live u might want a short ram system.. u can hydro lock car otherwise

I personally wouldn't spend $250 on a cold air intake, unless you need it to be carb legal, but I think you can get and injen/fugita/weapon r secret weapon(not really a cold air, but still a great intake). Or if you don't need a carb legal one just get a generic intake and get a good filter, that combo shouldn't cost you more than $100.

I like my V2, but I think they're overpriced new. Just get a cheap ebay short ram and get a good filter for it.

the problem with ordering "cheap EBAY" parts its fitment and being reliable. most of the time it will need to be modified in some way to fits the car. also, you are paying for the name and the quality...the more you pay...the better quality you receive.

this might be off topic..but would i be able to instal a short ram intake from a 95 civic 4door in a 98 4door?
