hey everyone, i am looking to put 17 inch rims on my 96 civic ex coupe. But i know a few people who said that they have 17s and they rub whenever the turn. does anyone know a good tire size to put on a 17 inch rim that wont rub? I am probably getting Motegi MR7's in Gunmetal. pic below

i have 16 inch motegi mr7s and they look good and they dont rub at all, with 17s i would proboly go with 205/35/17s or 205/40/17 they soundent rub but if they do it proboly wont be bad

 

17s won't rub at all at a stock height, but if you lower your car more than 2" then you going to have some rubbing problems.

 

+1..i have 17" and my car is lowerd about 1.8 inchs and dont have a problem

 

should be fine, my friends car is lowered and is runnin 18's...I'm runnin 17's and am lowered 1.75 or so

 

I have 17's... mine rubs a little (but I think my driver's side is lower than passenger side... not sure why... )

The civic I'm buying has those exact rims, is lowered 1.6", and had absolutely no rubbing at all.
