Ive got the 6th gen '00 [sm=shades.gif]

 

ok wait. first off, the generations are from 92-95 is 5th gen, 96-98 and 99-00 are sub-generations of the 6th gen.

the 99-00 front end is the same length, its the grill thats longer. the taillights on the 96-98 have amber on them, and the 99-00 have red/clear. the fit is the same though. the front ends are interchangeable, but only in whole. you cant just replace the grill or the headlights. you have to switch over the whole front end. and they are all really close in length, thats why b-series swaps are so easy.

 

i thought 99-00 headlights wouldn't match up with 96-98 fenders? if they'll actually fit, i might have to rethink what headlights i'll buy

 

no they wont. its the WHOLE front end. you would need the fenders too. and i think you might even need the bumper supports also, but im not sure about that.

cheers guys! but just to confirm, if i buy some taillights said to fit a 96-98 civic hatchback, they'll fit my 99 one?? but the front lights wont yea? and the same with bumpers, the back ones off the 96-98 will fit, but the front ones will need to be specifically for the 99-00 models? what lights has everyone got on their cars then?? http://www.ccmotorsport.co.uk/Mercha..._Code=si-11701 those are the ones im looking at! quite like em, different to the common chrome lexus style over here in the uk
