96-98 Headlight Question.

Default 96-98 Headlight Question.

Is there anyway to get rid of those YELLOw/ORANGE stripe/spot? A lot of people are syaing oyu can but no one has ever said how. Is there any actual way to remove it?

I think you can take the housing apart and pop it out. That involves heating and all sorts of stuff. I don't know the exact process but I'm sure you can find it if you look around here and/or google.

I think jut buying a set of clear headlights would be the best way to go, check eBay.

You could also do a 99-00 front end swap but that gets pricey. And no, the 99-00 headlights aren't a direct swap.

take your headlight out. get a blowdryer heat up the sealant, pry it apart with a butter knife, take out the yellow stripe thingy. get some clear window caulk, put your headlight back together.

you can put it in the oven... i wouldn't... but you can.

when i painted my headlights I did the blowdryer process, that is, to use the blow dryer to soften the sealant and carefully popping the lense
