Default Alarm!??

Didnt really know where to put this but I have a 2004 civic and tryna get tints and a new system in it so i was looking for a good car alarm... Is crrime guard the best and reliable brand? Should I install it myself or get it profesionally done? And whats a good price for installation and the unit?
Sorry for all my dumb questions but im very young lol

Clifford and Viper are some really good ones... my benz has the clifford (it is an older one) with the little image of where your car is getting attacked... I havent put an alarm on my 04 yet, there just isnt any crime where I live!

I have been doing car audio, home audio, home security, a/v installs, the works for over 14 years and I would never try to install a car alarm myself. Take it to a shop that does good work. The money that you spend on the install will be well worth it, I promise.

I agree with TheMoog on the brands. I had a Viper in my old 70 Cutlass convertible and loved it!!! So go with Clifford or Viper. You wont regret it.

Hope it helps and good luck.

a basic clifford system should be good enough then, but i would still bother getting the one with the two way alarm pager....

I paid 450 for my viper alarm and fuel cut off switch with 2 lcd controls "Viper 791XV (p/n 564V" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAND...50189797QQrdZ1.

Alot of it depends on the area you live in and how frequent they install alrms of that type. Try and get an experinced shop. From what ive heard Viper and clifford alarms are among the most complex to instal vs standard alarms due to there many features. If you go for a prestige alarm you can prob get one for around 150- 200 bucks insatlled around my way.
