Default aluminum wing problemo

well i got my wing installed about a month or two ago and i did notice i could take a turn at a little higher speed than before because there's this one turn that say's to take it at aroun 30 but when i first got the car i could take it around 50-55 w/o it trying to fishtail but when i got it installed i was taking it at about 60-65 nice gap if you ask me. the prob is i can't see out of my rearview because it's in the f***ing way!! But i can see it there's a car on my orange *** but i can't see far behind me. Do you think it is that big of a prob to remove it or should i keep because it makes me that a spent a crap load of money and now i can't god dang see because of it.

ANY! feed is wanted except for bs thanks

I could be wrong, but it sounds to me like the only thing the wing gave you, was the confidence to push harder.

Keep in mind, that if you do get in a wreck, and the cop sees that the wing is an obstruction, you will more than likely be placed at fault.

Food for thought...

a wing gives you nothing extra espcially on turns..... its a front wheel drive.... car wings were meant to hold down the back of a rear wheel drive car.....pick up a physics book and read

In general I don't like wings, but some do look nice though.
In GT4 the wing does improve cornering, but that's not relevant
The ones on the STI and RSX type S are nice. I'd like to have something like that on my car

Exactly. If done correctly, and the right part is utilized, a wing CAN benefit an fwd car. But the fact of the matter is, the average daily driver is never going to see the required conditions in which the wing is fully utilized, unless its by dumb luck.

Justin I think you need to pick up the physics book again and re-read . I dont know why the general consensus is that a wing is for RWD cars anyway. A wing can be applied for a FWD. Instead of planting the wheels for traction, it would help reduce fishtailing. But you gotta be going at hella speedslike Forty said before worring about a wing on your car, even a RWD in that matter. But wings are gay IMO. There is nothing funnier looking at an erector set screwed on to a trunk... especially when they wobble
