Angel Eye projecors with HIDs
#12
i got my projector headlight from ebay and i am using 6000k hid by pilot, i believe. its just plug and play unless you want to hook up the halo, which i didn't do. i just wanted the projector headlight with hid's

you can either wire it to the parking light so it will light up when your lights are on or you can wire to a switch so you can have them on when you want to. i've heard of the halo's burning out quickly, so its kind of better to put it on a switch.

hey i have some projectors too. off ebay, and i noticed my headlights are cut off. they are really bright but not white. like a super yellow.. could they be HIDs but just yellow? or if i wanted to put some in, would i just be better off going with my stock headlights and doin a retrofit?

But here's the basic overview of heat ranges for HIDs:
3,000k = yellow
5,000k = white, most stock HIDs are somewhere around 5000k.
6,000k = white with a blue tint
8,000k = mostly blue, kind of white (this is what I have on my stang... driving in the snow sucks because of the blue light)
10,000k = solid blue
12,000k = blue with a purple tint
15,000k = bright purple
Basically 6,000k is the highest you can go before you start losing visibility. 15,000k is, for lack of a better term, utterly useless for anything other than the "wow" factor.
But HID projectors are better than HIDs in the stock housings (unless you do a retrofit). HIDs in reflector housings tend to cause a lot of glare and usually blinds other drivers. And for a proper HID projector retrofit in the stock housings, you're looking at $500, give or take.

nah i got the halos connected to the parking light....and they still working...its been 2 years with them and they still good..i think imma go with the projector hids...not really worried about blinding people cuz some of there headlights be blinding too..and can some1 tell me the difference between these headlights:

Those are reflector housings; they're the same thing as stock housings as far as the way the lights work. I'd get projector headlights (something like what I had on my old civic, like these) if you plan on doing an HID conversion. And their headlights blinding you isn't a good reason to blind them. One driving being able to see is better than neither driver being able to see
