Another racing seats thread
Since I'm done with LEDs, I want to start making my car more comfortable. I think the most obvious thing is better seats.
My parents said they'll pay 150 if I cover the rest, so my total budget is 300. I need to know what is going to be involved if I buy some seats in terms of installation as well as material.
I don't want leather or plastic stuff; I want softer materials that feel OEM-ish but are way more comfortable.
I ran searches and everything but couldn't find a definitive answer so hopefully this thread will help me as much as it will help future people.
P.S. I don't race at all. Not even from a red light on the road. I may drive a little harder than the average person, but I'm not looking to fly around curves!

uhh your gonna need brackets and if you get racing seats which are very comfy as well as give your car a unique look. if you get racing seats you will probably want racing seat belts
From what I read the general consensus is that racing harnesses are not safer and don't do anything for you if you aren't racing and they aren't attached to a majorly supported and barred up car.
What kinda brackets do I need, and why do I need em?

Alright so more then likely you will have to fab up brackets for the seats, really for a budget of $300 you might look at something thats just OEM and not all out race like the set of sparcos I had I sold for $750 and then bought my leather RSX seats for 200. So really if your just looking for comfort I would suggest 99-00 Si seats or 98-01 integra seats, there not bucket racing style but you can get them for about what your budget can cover or maybe a nice set of cloth RSX seats. But for bucket racing seats unless you go with a cheap no name brand the chances of you finding what you want comfort wise is slim to none. And if you go with the teg or Si seats that i suggested they are a direct bolt in, oh cant forget del sol seats they would be worth looking at to.
CRX seats are amazingly comfortable (at least the 88 si ones are) and you could probably find a used pair for well under $300. I'd think they'd bolt up with little or no modification (but I'm not promising anything)
