well yes the bmw's and lexus and such come OEM with hids those are fine but aftermarket you can actually get a ticket (talked to a local cop) and silverstars are no where near as bright as hids trust me

Let me tell you from having the angel eye projectors on my Civic and HIDs on the MINI that, there's absolutely no substitute for propor projectors with HIDs. I don't know about the legality of HIDs in regular reflection headlights.

The legal limit for HIDs are 4300K which is what all the stock step ups are and they're plenty blue. Remember... the higher you go the dimmer they're going to be.

I would say stay away from ebay projectors. But, if you don't get projectors you lose your high beams.

if you can get a hold of some of the bmw ones you can retrofit them into your stock housing i am working on a set right now and the just send the light out in a beam so it doesn't produce a lot of glaring if you look at stock housing headlights there will be lots of glare at the sides since they weren't designed for those bulbs.........but good luck finding some projectos they can cost anywhere ive seen from 200-500 i got lucky and bought them off a bmw that was wrecked in the rear end

If your car didnt come with HIDS from the factory then they are illegal, period.

I have 5300ks and they are the greatest thing ever, super white and look brighter than my hi beams. I can get them for $250 shipped.
