Default The beginning of a carputer

well today i finally finsished a 3 week long project of cutting into a screen, lots of bondo, sanding, sanding, and yea u guessed it sanding.....but finally the finshed product.....a 7" touchscreen mounted in my dash and all in all looks pretty damn good almost stock....... and as for the mobo and stuff it easily fit into a 12 disc cd changer which will be mounted in my trunk......

the specs of my carputer

1.3 GHZ Processor
1 GB DDR2 RAM
160W smart power supply
WIFI USB adapter
250 GB HDD
CDRW/DVD drive
TV Tuner

more pics of it installed just waiting on a 16' USB and VGA cable so i can mount the cd changer in the trunk.....i have a nice honda dash for the carputer it will do MP3's, movies, GPS, games, and a **** ton more

you might wanna add another small fan there. probably be won't any room, but with everything crambed in there it will get hot in your trunk. did a good job on that tho.

nah i have tested it already without fans in my trunk it doesn't even get warm but i have two 80 mm fans 1 blowing in right across the mobo and the other sucking heat out right behing the hard drive so it won't be getting hot

dam you! lol...REAL nice, you must no alot to hook all that stuff up, i always read about it and i have noo idea what people are talking about. I still havent got my 2 t.vs to do my project in the dash, i got them, they were to big, sent them back,and just got a e-mail saying they are sending them out today or monday!![:@]..i ended up deciding im going to do it over the winter so i dont rush the molding process

but once again, looks soo sick...

indeed we would we even thought about making more and selling them on ebay or somehting so if you are interested let me know we might be able to work something out

dude nice job thats amazing i know how much work it takes i do side jobs putting tv in peoples cars especially sunvisors and all the hours of tinkering to make it just right are appreciated by me awsome job man you got straight up SKILLS

finally got it all installed and wired up boy was that a nightmare of wires.....2 days later here are the pics of it installed and running my honda skinned program
The beginnng of the wiring mess:

Finally the finsished product after a good 6 hrs of wiring hell









more to come once i get all the apps installed that i need like TV gps a few games, and a few other fun things to play with......
