Black rims fading in places...

Default Black rims fading in places...

Only my rear passanger side rim has gotten these weird spots. It's almost as if the paint just faded. Because it's still smooth as usual. Anyone ever seen this before? I'm figuring my only option is to have the rims repainted.

maybe you grazed a curb or something cause to me it sounds odd only 1 wheel has the problem

That's what I thought too, but it's weird because theres no damage to the rim. In some spots it looks like a curb wouldn'thit though.

and paint them drums as well that rusty drum looks WAY WORSE.....

It's not really on the lip as much as it's on the inside of it. That's why I really don't think it's from a curb. Plus the fact that the only time I've hit a curb it scratched up the front one which I fixed.

Yeah, I never realised how bad the drums were until the pics. Add them to the long to do list lol. I want to repaint all my black trim as it is, so maybe I'll just do it all in one shot.

also what kinda paint you using for the rims? you using rim paint or just regular spray paint?

next time i would also clear coat them.... should help alittle from chips and chemical reactions...
