Default Body Kit = Lowering?

Does getting a new front and read bumper and side skirts necessarily lower your car? I've heard people say that all it does is change the shape of your car, and to lower it you need to mess with the suspension, but i've also heard the bumpers themselves lower the car. Anyone know?

the front end will look lower since the body kit hangs down but it is not technically lowering it you will still have wheel gap and everything else so its up to u what you want to do but i think it looks good to lower it and just put a front lip on it.....body kits look horrible

it will apear a little lower due to the fact that the bumper itself is lower..but id go w/ a front lip if i were you. you'll be scraping alot w/a body kit if you lower it as well.

Id suggest lowering it, getting wheels big enough to fill the gap a little better , then searching a kit. As long as you dont go too low and have the right size wheels, it should be all good. I had my 7th gen lowered on eibach pro springs , on 18" konigs with my factory lip kit and still had room for a kit if I could have found one nice enough. If you plan on a body kit, try to get one that nobody has. I was the first around with the R34 kit on my 02, once I saw someone else with it 6 months later I hated it.

I've got 17" rims that are just a little big bigger than my stock wheels, and i will probably lower my car soon. The body kit i amlooking at is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97...temZ4632898947

I havent seen anyone around my area with this kit, and i like it alot. Tell me what you guys think about getting this kit instead of just a lip kit.

that kit will be hard to get on ur car, u will have to do a lot of custom work to it, and, it will chip and crack real easy...

that is like one of the most popular kits. plus that will be hard to get on the car because it is cheap. has little fiberglass and won't line up i don't care what they say. when it comes to kits the more money u spend the better they are. i would look for the blue fiberglass or urethane kit not an ebay cheapo. trust me it will end up costing you more in the long run. a good kit usually will cost u around a grand.

and all body kits don't look horrible. i have seen lip kits that look horrible too.

that body kit is what i have right now lol. the cool thing on the blitz front bumper fit damn near perfect. just had to cut out a little section around the driver headlight for the lights to fit. but it all just bolted right in. and once its painted and new good mesh installed it will look sweet. i love body kits and lip kits.
