put a lip kit. Its not as extreme as a bodykit, but it makes the car look a lot better

good quality? Any polyurethane or ABS body kit
good looks? I like the Drift front bumper and buddy club rear

A lip can be more subtle and is alot cheaper, also in general more durable, but some subtle body kits can look really good as well. Just if you get a body kit, dont get a fibgerglass one

i beg to differ that no body kit is nice. if done properly you can make alot of kits look nice but if not done properly u can make alot of them look like crap even lip kits. if your looking at kits don't cheap out get a good quality one and stay away from the 499 specials..

as soon as I saw the thread title, I knew there'd be at least three people saying that body kits are stupid and pointless and lip kits are the way to go.

Having had both a lip kit (well, at least a Mugen front lip) and a body kit (R34 front, Black Widow sides/rear), I can safely say it's all personal preference. Personally, I liked my body kit (I still do), and I liked my front lip (I plan on getting a new one... RIP front lip lol). Body kits can look good on civics, as long as they flow with the lines of the car... like, you don't want an ultra-boxy kit if you have a newer civic, and you don't want a kit with a lot of curves if you have a 4th gen. I'd say look at body kits, and then look at front/rear lips... pick whatever you like. I've even seen people mix/match lip and body kits... like, a front lip, sideskirts, and a body kit's rear bumper. Just don't get an ABS lip if you swing for the lip kit... and fiberglass kits are a lot more durable than people are willing to admit... my kit scraped in my school's parking lot almost every day back when I had the kit, and it never did any damage.

So how does a lip kit work? Do you take off your front bumper and replace it?
