Body work
I guess this falls under appearance, anyway...
Calling all people who have done body work. My brother decided a giant dent in my quarter panel, complete with scratches is something that my car needed. My insurance won't pay the claim because he and I are on the same policy, which is a whole other story but long story short, I kinda have to try to fix this myself because I dont' think I (he) can afford to pay a body shop to do it. Any suggestions?

If you want fixed completely and repainted then bring your car to me for a weekend (maybe longer depending how work we have going on) and I can do it for you, I'll take care of you on the price being that your a well known and liked member of HCF.
I'll still write you something on fixing it yourself tomorrow but your still going to be able to see creases and stuff in it but it'll look better then it is now

I just pulled a similar dent out of my wifes 94 Buick Skylark drivers door with . . . a Toilet Plunger!
By the looks of the dent though, you have too many creases, and it's far to deep to try that though.
As far as pushing it back out you can try it but I dont think your going to be able to do that either. as that metal has been stretched, hence the creases. You might be able to yank it back out with a jack bar but then you have screw holes to cover. And some fiberglass work to do becuase those creases aint coming out with just the jack bar. My recomendation is to cut it out and put a new section in.

Yeah, I tried the plunger route but, like you said there are too many creases to make a seal. My buddy seemed to think we could get it out with minimal creasing so I'll post some pics of the process in case any of you guys have a drunken, blind brother.
