Hey im doing an auto to manual swap. The guy said something about a center console change with where the actual stick is going to go. Does anyone have any information about that or where or how i could go about doing that? Thanks

 

you might not have to swap out a center console. you might be able to add the shift boot to the stock console, by removing the auto shifter, and installing the boot to the under side of the console using the factory screws

 

not on a 95. the stick is only on the dash in some 7th gens (maybe some 8ths im retarted when it comes to 8th gens).

 

So what can i do?

 

well i do believe there are 2 options... 1) get a new center console, or 2) put nothing there and just have the shifter on the floor.... personally i would go with option 1, uinles you going for a stripped interior race theme... and i guess there could be a third option 3) remove all interior consoles and dash, replace with that from an integra... now if i had the funding and time.. THAT would be my option

 

i had to get a center consol for mine from a junk yard because it was all junky when i bought the car, when i got my center consol from the junk yard, i got it off a 94 civic coupe automatic and it works fine.

 

is there anywhere i can get a center console at besides a junk yard?

 

ebay... that is about the only other place i can think of... unles you know someone who is parting out a civic

 

Well is it absolutley necessary to have the console to do the swap? Cuz i was thinking that they would bring it up through the auto tranny space.
