HiI need to replace the car mats in my EK 99reg vtihatchback as there the ones that came with the car and are seriously worn and look rubbish.

Ive seen some on Ebay but they all seem to say EG which isnt my model of car but go up to 01 reg which is the end of the EK range?.

Does anyone know if this is this just bad advertising or do EG mats fit into a EK car?.

They are the same car just EG is usa version andEK is anything outside of usa, correct me if im wrong guys. But they should fir perfect. You could also getCivic coupe and Teg mats and i am pretty sure they will fit!

 

what, EG and EK's are far from the same, they're completely different body styles.

EG is from 92-95
EK is from 96-00
not the same
From 96-00 hatch ,coupe, 4door are all the same.

 

i was gona say no way they're the same. i drive an ek and it aint a "jap model"

 

Then what is EJ, i always thought EK and EJ were the same, but im new ti civics. Had all tegs, thisis my first civic!

 

EJ1, and 2are for 92-95 coupes,

EJ6, 7, 8 are for 96-00 coupes as well as EK and EM1... different trim levels. EJ6 and 8are sedan trims as well...

Yeah the EG & EKcars are complete different, the main way to tell anEK isthatit has slighty frog eye shaped head light, and is heavy then the older EG.

But they might have the same floor plan inside thus the mats might fit both?.

Has anyone in here tried to fit EG mats in EK ?.

 

alright, you can not swap carpets, or floormats from generation to generation, 6th gen floormats fit 6th gens, 5th gen floormats fit 5th gens, etc. and that's all there is to it, stop being lazy and get the right floor mats,

6th generation:
EJ = coupe
EK = hatch
