Anyone try installing clear bra on there hood? I see they sell it cheap on Fleabay and was thinking of trying it out.

 

ive never seen much point in bras.. i dont like the way they look either, but thats just my opinion...if it fits your fancy then go for it dude.

 

By clear bra, do you mean the kind that is a clear sticker than you put on the body, or is it an a bra but clear? My brother's Audi has the clear sticker kind and it discolors in a year or two. It turns yellowish.

It would be nice is someone could stay on post and just try to answer the question.
Clear bra is simply that heavy duty clear tape that goes onto areas that are prone to chipping like the hood. On my present Civic it only has 25k on it and about 20 big chips on the lower hood due to the gravel they use on the roads up here in the winter. I really do not mind changing it out once a year if it begins to turn yellow.

well it might work OK.... but if your only problem is in winter... just buy a regular bra and throw it on the car in the winter after a good waxing and as soon as the roads are clear from gravel or whatever then just remove and rewax again.....
forget a sticker that ya replace every other year!

 

Regular bra's scuff off the paint finish. I guess no one here has the capability to stay on post

I had a really nice honda bra on my old accord. it wasn't clear, but it looked real good when I had it. looks like crap now, but hell that's six years later and my brother drives it now.
