if i want to get a cold air intake....do i need to get anything else in order for it to properly work? cause a buddy of mine mentioned that i would need something else (forgot what he said) but i never heard of needing anything else to go along with it. am i missing something?

no you dont need anything else ...perhaps the buddy your talking about got his intake off ebay and they didnt send all his stuff. You might need to buy a sticker about it.

 

if its an ebay one, then u might have to make some changes but if not, all u gota do is install it and go.
