Commercial car wash and rims?
I've recentley recieved as a gift, a book to free car washes at the local drive through car wash.
I was worried that the tracks that moves your car along could damage my rims, seeing as my tires are quite thin. I'm thinking my rims could rub, and scratch the side of the track wall.
Anyone else have a problem with car washes and rims?

Never had rim troubles, but if your cars lowered good luck. Mine wont even make it on the tracks...and a friend of mine had his front bumper ripped straight off his car and exhaust jacked up.
well my 99civic would SLIGHTLY rub the mikes car wash at one location, but i started going to another mikes car wash and aparently their system was lower and i never draged on it.
but ive never had any problems goint thru their carwashs. my tires are 205-40-17s and theirs no marks on the wheels.
as long as your rubber sticks past the rim JUST SLIGHTLY they shouldnt rub.

My brother did it with his wheels, messed them up real bad and the car wash actually gave him some money because they said they should have said something as he was pulling up.
I guess it all depends on your wheels though because my buddy goes through all the time and his wheels are minty fresh.
