Default Crazy seat swap

I know this may be against our Honda roots, but here goes. I have a 95 hatch and the stock front seats are beat to crap, so I want to replace them. While at the junk yard the other day I stumbled onto a pair of nice front seats. Come to find out they were out of a toyota celica. I am just wondering if anyone has tried to swap celica seats into a civic?

it'll require modifying either the seat rails, or the seats themselves to fit...

I believe Marnie might have STi seats in her car?

I'm sure someone has done it... it's hard to be original anymore. Still, I like the idea, and celica seats are awesome. Like cderalow said, you'll have to modify your seat rails

What do you guys think about me buying a universal seat bracket and going from there??? My thought was it would be easier to go that route then trying to make their rails fit.

I'd think a universal bracket would work, but since I've never swapped seats, I can't be sure. I'd say it's worth a try.

Well I'd think there'd be a place on the celica seats to bolt the seat belt thingy to. I'd say just take the Honda one off your old seats and see if you can't bolt it to the new seats. If not, I'd just bolt it straight to the seat rails (assuming you can even reach down that far to undo the seatbelts). Just make sure you have everything figured out with the seatbelts before you install the seats. I take seatbelts very seriously (ever since my friend died when he wrecked his 3000gt without his seat belt on).

I am glad to hear you take seat belts seriously too. I have been in over 7 accidents (all not my fault... believe it or not) three of which were serious. Each time my seat belt was partially attributed to my surviving those accidents!
