Im looking for black paint with orange flakes. does anyone know a website or link that could give me an idea of where to buy this from, ive looked everywhere. thanks

 

to paint your car....if so u can go to any car paint store and tell them u want black paint and orange flakes. they come seperate and have to be mixed in together plus u will need primer and clear coat too..i don't thinku can buy it in a spray can. plus there is all different size flakes u can buy..hope this helps

maybe you should leave it to the pros....atleast have maacoo do it. Cause im not trying to flame if you do not know what a clear coat is you shouldnt be attempting to do this yourself. You might wanna like read up on this stuff first before you tackel such a huge job, trust me, thats what i did and honestly i still managed to screw things up.

but the answer to your question is, clear coat is the last stage usually in painting. Its what gives paint the extra wet/glossy. Usually the color is about 1 coat about a mm thick i think it is than you follow with about 7-9 coats of clear.

 

oh sorry i forgot u get it at a auto paint store. im sure there is tons of them in your town. if u want to see samples go to the store and they have books upon books of paint codes i doubt u will find samples on the net since it wouldn't do it justice u can't see nothing as far as paint on computers...yea clearcoat is that clear stuff on top of the color. u probably should leave it to the pro's cause u need alot of stuff to spray that kind of paint like compressors spray guns booth all kinds of prep materials.


clearcoat should have 4 coats max and sand away one or two.

 

12 coats of clear here.

yeah 4 coats max... i dont think so...its all about what you want i guess...but its usually the more the better.
