ya looks like your having the same problem I was having with the wrinkles. I just have the smaller insert with the bigger waves in it so when there is a wrinkle its huge. I am trying a heat gun on it the weekend and hopefully can get it smooth......er. I like the red. I am trying to decide if I want to go all black or black and red.
Looks VERY nice. I had a few problems with wrinkles when I did mine over the weekend. I also found a really great way to get the rivets off. Use a single edged razor blade and slide it behind the rivet. Then rock it back and forth while applying pressure and it will cut right through with little to no effort. Here is a pic so you get the idea:

lol never wouldve thought of cutting the rivets like that... lil too late done cut my hand and everything lol jk .... one reason why i had the wrinkle problem is #1 i used vinyl ( kinda like the one they use on fake leather jackets) they are so hard to lay on that, when i used cloth on my other civic, i didnt have any wrinkle problem#2 i have no heath gun, i used my girlfriends hair dryer lol
one question, how did you re-attach your arm rest back to the door after cutting thos plastic rivits?, i heard some people use bolts or somthing?, if you get a chance a pic would be nice
im planning to do this in the winter when my car is all apart doing everything else

This guy did a really great write up about.
HERE
He says that you dont need to use that many washers, but I found that on my 98 EX I needed to used at least one on each screw so they wouldn't poke through. Just take your time and make sure you get the right size srews. They need to be big and fat to grab hold of the panel. Good luck.
