Default eyelids

I was looking for eyelids but they all look the same. i was wondering if theres a site that makes custom eyelids. i went to a shop and the guy told me to buy vynil and cut if out myself. sounds like a good idea, what do you guys think? i wanted to do a upper and lower eyelid. if anyone here has custom eyelids post the pics up. thanks

I dont think any one has done a custom eyelid. What the eyelid is suppose to do is to make your head look part of your hood and fender. If you put vinyal on the bottom part of your head light you will some light when you have to drive at night and it would not look right. Trust me I dont want to lose visiabilty of the road right in front of the car. I dont know about you though.

easy take the vinyal still on the paper and cut it how u want them to be cut to the headlights. or use a dry erase marker and draw on your head lamp and determine how u want them. then of course clean ur head lights off when down doodling on them. Remember "DRY ERASE" not "PERAMENT". It will take for ever to get perament markers off.

my friend has custom eyelids on his cobalt and they are ALOT better than the crappy plastic ones off eBay. He has a silver car, so they matched hte color and used silver vinyl and the eyelids look slick as hell. If you can get color matched eyelids to your car's color scheme do it for sure. Easy to apply and remove.

well the idea that i have for my 99 is SINCE MY CAR IS BLACK... i would tape off the areas i dont want to be blocked off and then use some VHT NITE-SHADES spray tint and tint the headlights pretty dark....

this way i have a nice custom look and also since its just tinted not all the light will be blocked.....
its just another one of those projects on the FAR BACK BURNER in my head...

I did mine with vinyl after one of the ABS plastic ones flew off on the highway.

thats why im not going to mess with the eyelids at all on my car. For one u lose stuff like what happened to dano there and also it just would look tacky as hell for me. thats just my preferance.
