Default FENDER LINING

I WAS SUGGESTED BY ONE OF MY FRIENDS TO TAKE OFF THE INNER FENDER LINING..
I WAS WONDERING IS THERE ANY ADVANGTAGES OR DISADVANTAGES TO TAKING OFF THE LINING BESIDES THE WEIGHT FACTOR?
HOW MUCH WEIGHT IS OFF IF ALL OF IT TAKEN OFF THE CAR?

the plastic lining??? its mostly to keep out dirt and water. when you go splashing through a puddle, just as much water is trying to go on the other side of the tire... and without that, most of its going into the engine area.

yeah, im a weight ****, and i wouldnt even consider this. its like, 6-8 oz at best, and if you have or want to get a cold air intake, that liner keeps it from getting bombarded with dirt, rocks, water, snow, salt, etc, etc.

no, i wouldnt do it. water could easily get in your engine bay and mess something up ESPECIALLY if you have a cai or plan to get one. without that lining, even a short ram intake could get soaked...
