Finally starting my mods
I was using rustoleum vinyl and fabric flat black. I ran out and bought some duplicolor vinyl and fabric black and it is slightly less flat .... so I now have to take out my dash again to spray it so I have a good even color.
I'm picking up 6 more cans tomorrow of the duplicolor. I also ordered my new carpet (black of course) yesterday. I got a new head unit and 6x9s installed this weekend. I need to get some new 6 1/2s for the doors though. Its coming to together. My goal right now is to get the interior wrapped up.
I also went ahead and re-upolstered the visors..they turned out ok i guess..I think they are not that great..but at least they are not falling apart.
I still need:
tint, Seats re-covered, carpet installed, all other body panels installed.
When I get the carpet in, I'll take pictures of it all going back together. Here is a picture of what my dash looked like on saturday:

yea same question here. i was actually thinking about that the other day. i think im going to bring my visors to a tailor to see if they can sow it for me. because i cant so for ish, and if it comes out bad i can always complain and have em fix it. i might use your idea and go for the faux saude. but i havent seen any at my walmart. it faux suede smooth or cotton-ie
Yeah I removed the mirrors..never used them anyway.
This weekend I replaced the carpet and put most of the body panels back in the car. I still have to redo the doors but its getting pretty close. I had a set back on friday when I noticed my ac compressor leaking. I got a quote for 900 bux for new compressor, drier, and expansion valve installed. I bought all hte parts myself for 250 and did the work. Got my local shop to evac the system and recharge it when I was done. All in all I spent about 320 bux, but hey, got a new ac
Its cooling pretty good now.
Ill try to take some pics of the blacked out interior soon. Only panels left are the doors really, but I have to reuploster the armrest on one of the doors. Maybe one night this next week I can knock them out. Once the doors are back in, I'll just need tint and I'll probably call the interior done.
So random question.....but what would a 97 civic hx with 162k miles (only 2 owners) with new ac, carpet, battery, with the mods (blacked out interior, headrest, etc) go for?
