first post, pic of my ride
I just bought this 97, got a good deal on it and couldnt pass it up.

so far i like it what do you guys think i could do to make it look better for kinda on the cheap side i dont know where to start
also it has a serious shake at idle, the whole car shakes. any idea what to do there? the guy i bought it from said it might have water in the gas
over-all what do you guys think of the car criticism is welcome this is my first honda.

It looks like you already have a decent set of rims, so here are some things I would recommend. First thing I would do is drop it. I can't tell from the pictures if the car has been dropped or not, but that always makes a huge difference. You can do so by getting a nice set of coilovers, or you can do it right and replace your whole suspension with new shocks, struts, and the coilovers. After that, I would black out your windows. Those two things alone can change a total look of a car. But thats just my opinon.
ok i looked at some pics here and thats what i want to do. how do i know how low to go without my tires scrubbing?
if i buy the coil-overs and put them on will i have alignment issues or is it just a straight drop-in?
and how much do they usually cost because im a teenager and kinda on a budget here only a couple hundred to spend.
and thanks for the replies.

looks good, i like the wheels. drop, 99-00 tails, black the headlight housing, lip...just some things to help appearance and can be done for pretty cheap. could be done for well under $500 depending on what kinda suspension set up u get..
thanks guys. i bought some little things today it needed, nothing to really help appearence just a few replacements it needed.
also, the throttle cable looked like it had some slack, so i tightened it. im just curious how tight the cable should be? right now it has around half a centimeter of play. it used to have almost an inch and that didnt seem right to me
now i need to adjust the idle

have someone floor the gas pedal while you look at the butterfly, (with the engine off) and make sure its hitting WOT while its on the floor. if its too tight, you might slam the gas down and snap the cable.
