i would say you got a little too close, if you backed off a bit, you would have less spottage.

They do make a "flat" clear coat... I just saw them paint a 85 Buick Century with it on "Pimp My Ride" LOL. That shows always good for a laugh... it should be on comedy central. They also put a 350 pound MTX subwoofer in it.... hahaha!!!

Meh, to each his own. I personally wouldn't paint a car that new, flat black, unless the paint was absolutely terrible. On my next project, I'll probably rattlecan it. I do like the idea of just buying a can of Krylon everytime i get a scratch. Oh well, my next car will be a piece of crap. A fast piece of crap, but still a piece of crap.

For anyone looking to do a really sweet "flat black" color scheme on their CiviC, their trim or grill pieces. I can do it for anyone that is interested and ofcourse Ill charge way less than usua--simply cause I am a Civic owner and member here-but, if you are a die-hard DIY'er, let me know and ill help you understand the process-it can be done with any color too!! Red, Blue, Green, and even White---Drop a Line!!
