....why would someone poor hot wax on your car? and those paints dont have a texture like you are thinking...they are still smooth like a normal paint job...just flat in color...and honestly pretty inexpensive...I totally forgot about these, I was going to paint my neon with this stuff...but then I got the civic. I might have to pull out the ol' color chart I got of this and go flat for a while...just to get rid of the faded front end and roof.

Only down fall with primer/mattee kind of paint is that when someone comes along and pours hot wax on it. You can't get it off. I'd say just paint it.
...I'm assuming that this comes with some sort of story...?

Man, I don't know if I can count the number of times I've had hot wax poured on my car...

...literally...

...I'm pretty sure I can't count to zero.

^^Thats how I heard about the stuff...the guy my dad paints with is a rep for one of those stores...and yeah it looks flat but its either base/clear or a single stage enamel that will stand up to a beating just like and other "normal" paint job. The reason they even came up with it was because people were running around with primered "rat rods" thinking the primer sealer was protecting the body when in fact it was still letting moisture in and rusting out...other than being a flat color its really no different than any everyday glossy paint job.
