Default Fog Light Bulbs?

I have the aftermarket ebay fogs and my one on the left blew out and got water in it after a car wash. So first just wondering what size the bulb was an H3 and should i use clear silicon to seal it after i replace it? And also I found an H3 bulb at Pep Boys, but it was small, what do they look like?

Thanks!

If you get OEM or OEM-replica foglights then it is likely they will use an H3. You should check first of course though.

most foglights i had experienced with use H3, so there is a high chance that your foglights uses H3 as well

I have the OEM style and just had to replace mine. You will notice that upgrading to a cheap pair from the auto parts store makes a huge difference then the ones that come with the fog lights.

Yeah, my JDM Fog lights (legit, check my thread) are H3s as well.

If you want your fog lights to work REALLY well, I suggest upgrading to a name brand, you actually do get what you pay for.

Personally I use Raybrig bulbs, and now just the fog lights are as bright as my stock headlights were.

I know eautoworks.com carries them, that is where I got mine.

And yes, drain the housing thoroughly, dry it real good, and then seal it.

yes they should fit, i had to cut this little piece of metal off the side of the replacement bulb, but other than that it was simple. Also recommend silicon!!!

Those are the same bulbs I have in my headlights, Raybrig Metal Thunder 4700K 12v. they are 55w but perform like 95w (somehow)

Like I said, I never used my stock bulbs, upgraded right away.
