Default grad money...

Well, last night I graduated from high school...so you know what that means..MONEY!

I got $825, plus $120 that I've had saved up and I'm wanting to fix my car up some more. I'm debating on what I should do though.

I need new head and tail lights, and new front and back bumper. The bumpers were cracked and busted from the past owner. The lights still work, they have moisture in them though. And for the longest, I've been wanting to get some rims. I was wondering, does Honda make a 4 lug 16" wheel? I'm not sure. I'd even like some Honda rims and new tires. Also, I've thought about getting lowering springs and new shocks. Tein stechs and koni yellows are what some people have suggested right?

I'm just wondering where some good reliableand cheap places to order some of these parts from. And are their any other shocks or lowering springs you guys recomend?

well id sugest Ground Control coilovers. just be sure to get the right sleeves for them and the koni yellows.LOL

dont get me wrong i like my old Stech springs BUT they didnt sit level all the way around and i didnt care for that to much!
i love my GCs and koni yellows so far! i love the ability to adjust the suspension fully! tho i still like my konis on the softer setting. not completly soft, but im still tweeking the setup

i heard this combo was great and thats what i finaly went with and love it!
feel free to PICK YOUR RIDE HEIGHT and softness of the ride! the ability is very nice to have full control of!

IMO suspension looks to be the best mod. lower the car, loose the wheel/fender gap, take turns harder with less body roll. also makes your wheels look better when you do get some

i bought my struts from ebay from this guy. they where shiped next day and looks like the best feedback on EBAY for the price! very happy with the deal!
and i should have bought my GC from them.LOL i tried used and learned the hard way....

thats the combo i would recomend personaly..... figure total ruffly 860. another 50-80 for alignment if you instal them yourself, maybe alittle more if your LCA strut bushings are seized like alot of civics can/are. 20bucks a bushing if you can do the work yourself.

just depends what you want to do with the money first... or if ya just want to sit on the cash.... sometimes good to just have money in the bank! [8D]

I agree with Addiction...suspension is a good start. Im ordering some Ground Controls this week too. But as far as shocks go, im not putting out 500 for Koni yellows...probly going the Bilstein Twin Tube or Tokico HP route. But if you want springs instead of coils, I know a few people around me with Neuspeed springs that love them. The have a little more of a drop and higher rates than the TeinS-Techs.

Yeah, springs would be the better choice for me. I'd never have the time to mess with coilovers.

I will look into Neuspeed as well as Tokicos.

I'm about to lower my car, I'm thinking Stechs on stock shocks for now, it'll only be like $150 for the whole thing. Not trynna go crazy with my suspension

Might as well just save up and do it all at once. Or else after alignments and labor if you dont do it yourself its going to cost about double the price.

well either way with coilovers you dont go thru any trouble. you set them ONCE and lock them down and get a alignment. no more trouble at all.

definatly your choice tho. its more cash but the ability of being able to adjust them its very nice! worth the extra cash IMO....
