couple of my friends have the same greddy one. its pretty heavy and makes shifts alot easier. it does get very hot on hot/sunny days. they usually have to put something over it so they dun burn their hands. not really a big deal...very good and nice **** for the price.

skunk2s have a better feel to them and are more ergonomic. the greddy's have sharper edges.

i heard somewhere that a heavy shift **** is bad for the transmission, just like resting your hand on the shifter when not shifting.

im not sure but i would doubt that. the weight would be pressed down on the shift linkage which pivots up and down anyways. if u've installed a short shifter and taken the linkage off u'd kno wut im talking about. like i said im not sure but seems like it wouldnt do anything to the tranny.

hmm...can't remember where i saw it, but they said something about it not allowing lubrication through, but not having messed with that part of the car yet, and this being pretty much my first car i don't know anything about it...learning as i go...
