Halo projecter headlights for '97 Civic HX
Are these easy to install? Are they a simple swop out from the old stock headlights to poping in the new halo's? Or is there some soldering/wireing that needes to be done first before installing them?

....not plug and play because of the halos... you're going to have to either wire them up to the parking lights or do what the smart ones do and wire it to a switch to save the life of the halos.
EDIT: And the bumper doesnt have to be taken off all the way, just take out the pressure clips and screws that hold the upper part of the bumper on... those years are crazy easy to take apart, I did it on a similar year in maybe less than 5 minutes.

then just ground all the halos and wire all the postive 12v wires together to a switch, real simple. Either switch or running lights, whichever you want.
