Headlights
I'm looking into getting an hid kit but I have a few questions. Should I get some projectors off of ebay and then get and hid kit to go along with them or would it be better off to stick with my stock housing and maybe find a retrofit kit.
Basically I'm worried about light output and glare.

RE: Headlights
Well, I bought projectors first and loved 'em. Then, years after I got the HID conversion kit and love 'em even more. It's sooo much easier to get projector headlights and then the kit than doing a retrofit. I've seen some real ugly retrofits because they did hack jobs.

RE: Headlights
well ive been runnen HIDs in my stock style headlights and still love em.....
ive never been flashed or hurased by cops about them....
like any thing you touch on your headlights.... they need to be properly adjusted! that alone will make the looks so much beter and safer for other drivers!
i mean think about it... how many older cars you seen that blinded you with one headlight.... thats because they are to stupid to realize which of the 2 screws are used to change the bulb and which 2 are to adjust the headlights...
and they are just simply to stupid or foolish to properly adjust thier headlight aiming.......
when i swaped my HIDs in i did have to adjust the headlights both downwards alittle and one further towards the outside road....
if ya adjust them properly on some cars and glare should never be a problem!
now when i put them on my dads 96jimmy truck... they did have a somewhat bad glare.... but thats cause of the headlight housing... i droped in the same kit in my civic and looks great!

i THOUGHT about running some projectors before... but just desided not to cause i always heard that the bulbs that come with those projectors suck *****!!!!!!! LOL
so im eventualy just gonna buy soem new black OEM style headlights for my civic...
just trying to keep away from the typical mods most people do...
and i just dont care for thier looks much...
but either way if ya get aftermarket headlights just be sure to run alittle bead of silicone around the lights so your sure the housings are sealed properly and wont fog up on ya on a rainy day and stay steamed up.LOL
